Admissions

Recognition of Prior Learning:

Recognition of prior earning (RPL) is the process whereby prior study, life experience and work history are measured against the requirements for the course the student intends to take.

  • If what the student has learnt is relevant to the course, he / she may be exempt from some course units (or parts of units).
  • The student must apply for RPL.
  • The student will be required to show where prior learning and / or experience may be relevant.
  • The student may also be required to attend an interview to discuss such an application. In some cases it may be necessary to take a test or present a portfolio of work to assess his / her present knowledge and skill levels.
