Costs

A registration fee is payable on registration and is deducted from the course fee. The Open Window doesn’t have credit card facilities. Please pay the registration fee by electronic transfer, cheque or cash.

The class fees are payable either by debit order interest free over 10 months (from February to November), or in full before the end of February 2010 at a settlement discount of 5%. Both the debit order form and the registration form must be completed in full for a student to be registered.

A fully refundable R100 is payable for the Student Access Card when issued in February.

Please Note

  • Part-time students will pay the subject fees applicable to the year in which they enrol for those subjects.
  • Curriculum changes might occur which could affect part-time students. They will be expected to adhere to the latest requirements.
  • An additional R1 500 is levied for specialisation in Video.
  • Students who take extra academic credits pay half price for the extra credits.

Costs: Non-qualification courses

Additional Media Expenses

Students must budget for additional consumable media expenses that occur during the course of the year and vary according to their assignments (about R2 000 per module). At the beginning of each module lecturers will supply students with detailed lists of what is required for that module’s assignments. Click here for minimum specifications for equipment.
