Someone waking up from a 5-year coma might be somewhat perplexed at these new mainstream identity-related concepts. Today, it is virtually impossible to go to university and not be familiar with these terms and what they represent. Reaching way beyond the university, identity is also at the center of our global political landscape.

Drawing on the works of political scientist Francis Fukuyama, our guest speaker will attempt to explain the reasons for the relatively sudden surge in identity politics.
