About the Role:
As a Game Programmer Intern at Blue Crane Studios, you’ll join the small team behind Into the Wild — a cozy wildlife-sanctuary adventure built in Unreal Engine 5. You’ll work closely with our lead programmer and creative director to bring new features to life, prototype mechanics, and polish player interactions.

What You’ll Do:

– Implement simple gameplay systems using Blueprints (feeding, cleaning, dialogue, etc.).
– Help build and test UI elements such as menus and journals.
– Support basic AI behaviours for animals (idle loops, reactions, movement).
– Test, debug, and profile performance across sanctuary areas.
– Collaborate with artists to integrate assets smoothly into the engine.

Ideal Skills:

– Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5/Unity and Blueprints / C++.
– Understanding of game logic, events, and actor components.
– Curious, self-driven, and open to feedback.
– (Bonus) Experience with version control (Github, Git/Fork/Perforce).
