Role overview
The UX Intern will support the Lightstone Property UX Division in designing, improving and documenting user experiences across key products such as Toolkit, Pulse BI, Dev Portal and many more.
This role is designed for a candidate who is passionate about creating intuitive, user-centred digital experiences and eager to learn how UX operates within a data-driven product environment.
The intern will work directly under the UX Lead and collaborate with Product Owners, BAs, Developers, and the Support Team. They will contribute to research, interface design, prototyping, documentation, and maintaining our enterprise-level design system
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in UX/UI, Interaction Design, Digital Product Design, Multimedia Design, or related field.
- Portfolio demonstrating design thinking, not only visual design.
- Familiarity with UX processes (research → wireframe → prototype → handover).
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work in a structured, process-driven environment.
- Must be able to receive feedback positively and iterate.
- Must demonstrate willingness to learn new tools quickly.
- Must be comfortable presenting work and explaining reasoning.
Technical Skills
Figma
- Strong understanding of Figma fundamentals
- Ability to create wireframes and high-fidelity UI
- Working knowledge of AutoLayout, components, variants
- Ability to maintain organised Figma files (naming, grouping, structure)
UX / UI Design
- Understanding of layout, spacing, grids and hierarchy
- Understanding of responsive design (desktop + mobile)
- Ability to follow design system rules consistently
- Basic prototyping skills
Research & Evaluation
- Ability to review Hotjar recordings and identify usability issues
- Basic understanding of user research methods
- Ability to summarise insights clearly and concisely
Documentation
- Ability to annotate designs for developers:
- States
- Behaviour rules
- Edge cases
- Component usage
- Ability to produce clean UX documentation and flows
Non-Technical Skills
