DESCRIPTION:PUBLIC EVENT OPENING (SUBMISSIONS OPEN TO STAFF ONLY) \nThis year’s staff exhibition is centred on the theme “Matter” — a prompt to reflect on material\, substance\, and the significance of the tangible in a world increasingly shaped by the digital and the conceptual. \n“Matter” invites participants to engage with the physicality of making: texture\, weight\, surface\, decay\, transformation. \nWhether through the reuse of found materials\, the exploration of digital materiality\, the use of unconventional tools\, or the layering of process onto substance\, this theme asks you to investigate how matter holds memory\, resistance\, agency — and how materials carry narratives of culture\, industry\, the environment\, or the self. Staff are invited to either respond literally through sculpture\, texture\, or craft or conceptually — considering invisible materials\, the dematerialisation of digital work\, or the politics of sourcing. These may include products (pins\, stickers\, totes\, postcards\, cards\, shirts etc.)\, prints\, books\, stationary and artworks.
