Film Terminology

Learners are introduced to the historical development of film and film conventions, while practical classes focus on the basic application of film principles. Throughout this Short Course, learners will develop a basic understanding of the fundamentals of film conventions with regards to framing, camera movement, lighting, sound design and editing. Emphasis is placed on applying the film conventions to gain an understanding of the choices and considerations involved in the filmmaking process.
