The Open Window received conditional approval from the CHE on 5 May 2023 for our new Stellenbosch campus, verified on 17 April 2024 after a site visit. The CHE also extended its existing concession to the contact mode of delivery (Communiqué 5 of 2023) to 31 December 2024. This allows registered institutions to present programmes accredited in the contact mode to present these programmes in online/blended mode instead. New interested students can be enrolled (if they meet admissions criteria) as blended mode students who will make use of the staff and facilities at the Stellenbosch campus as a support centre. Once OW receives the final confirmation of approval of the new site, these students will then need to sign an addendum to their registration agreement that indicates they are residents of the Stellenbosch campus. These addenda will have no meaningful impact on the student experience as rules, policies and programme provisioning will be the same between campuses.
