Exquisite Corpse Riso Roulette

Our annual Exquisite Corpse exhibition is coming up on 18 August. The exhibition initially began as a collaboration between the disciplines from the School of Visual Communication, namely Illustration, Communication Design and Photography; however, anyone can take part as long as at least one team member is an Open Window student, staff member or Alumni.

In addition to our traditional Exquisite Corpses, we are offering a RISOGRAPH WORKSHOP SERIES in collaboration with the Open Window MakerSpace.

WORKSHOP OUTLINE

1. Each participant works on one layer/colour (out of three).
2. You will be given a sheet of paper to activate with a black medium (provided).
3. Each hour participants swop artworks (eg. draw layer 2 over someone else’s layer 1).
4. We will photocopy these layers in the correct colours during the workshop.
5. If you want to include any photographic or pre-made imagery, please bring it along as a print (ideally printed in B/W on tracing paper).
6. All imagery needs to be photocopiable – we won’t print any digital files during the workshop.
