– PUBLIC EVENT – BOOK YOUR SPOT by 19 May –
Strijdom van der Merwe is the foremost Land Art artist in South Africa. He will give a talk on Land Art in South Africa. The talk, which will take place on the Open Window Campus, will focus on the history of land art, the discipline itself as well as a discussion of the foremost artist in the field. This talk can be attended by itself and promises to be insightful with the opportunity for discussion and questions. After the talk there will be a hands-on workshop where all attendees, under the instruction of Strijdom, will create a sand land art piece at Kogelbay Resort. This artwork will then be photographed using a drone. Entrance for Open Window student is free but anyone attending from outside will need to just pay their entry into the Kogebay Resort themselves. A light lunch will be provided before the sculpting starts. There are limited spots available for this event so please be sure to BOOK YOUR SPOT ! Before the 19th Of May!
