Mini Mega Market - Call for Stalls - Entry Deadline

Open Window and Soft Serve invite you to apply for your own pop-up stall at our fifth MINI MEGA MARKET on Saturday, 25 April, 11:00 – 17:00 at our Blairgowrie Creative Hub! Applications close 16 March.

We’re looking for unique and peculiar design, art and illustration-based objects. Think pins, stickers, totes, postcards, cards, shirts, prints, books, stationary and artworks. Apply as an individual or as a group, but note that all items need to be produced locally.

 Bonus: one selected entrant will have their stand fee sponsored to exhibit at Comic Con Artist Alley or Kamers (subject to acceptance).

This figure drawing session welcomes art enthusiasts of all skill levels. Don’t miss this chance to connect with fellow art lovers, refine your skills, and create stunning masterpieces (or fun flops)! We will have two models strutting poses.

What to Bring: Sketchbooks, preferred drawing media, and your preferred snacks and drinks.

Mini Mega Market is a market showcasing unique and peculiar creative goods by our local community.

Soft Serve is a collective by South African artists Nina Torr and Maaike Bakker. Their platform sells and showcases prints, original artworks and various products. Twice a year, they invite creatives to host their own pop-up stands at the Mini Mega Market, where they showcase unique and peculiar designs, art and illustration-based objects by a variety of creatives. This includes products (pins, stickers, totes, postcards, cards, shirts, etc.), prints, books, stationery and artworks.

This will be the first Mini Mega Market to take place at Open Window, Blairgowrie

We’re looking for unique and peculiar design, art and illustration-based objects. These may include products (pins, stickers, totes, postcards, cards, shirts etc.), prints, books, stationary and artworks. Apply as an individual or as a group, but note that all items need to be produced locally.

EVENT TERMS

  1. You may apply as a group or an individual
  2. Applications are free and open to the public!
  3. Each vendor will receive a table (±1.8m x 0.8m) to activate.
  4. We will supply you with a stand sign and black table cloth (but you may also use your own).
  5. We won’t take any commission.
  6. All items need to be made locally.
  7. You will need to accept both cash and card payments (we can help you set this up).
  8. We have limited spots available.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  1. Applicants who are excited about what they do.
  2. Applicants who are serious about what they do.
  3. Work that is presented professionally (good photos, clear labelling, easy to access).
  4. A well-written, carefully considered stand outline.

SELECTED APPLICANTS
We will let you know by 5 May if your pop-up stand has been selected. Shortly thereafter we will host an online meeting to guide vendors through the process and setup (sales etc.)
