28East is a leading Google Maps partner in South Africa, providing innovative location-based solutions. We seek a dynamic and results-driven Marketing Specialist to join our team and drive our marketing efforts to new heights.

Role Overview:

The Marketing Specialist will develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance 28East’s brand visibility, generate leads, and support sales growth. This role requires a versatile individual with a strong understanding of digital marketing, content creation, and event management. The ideal candidate will be proactive and creative and possess excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities:

Digital Marketing & Analytics:

  • Manage and optimise online advertising campaigns across Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and other relevant platforms.
  • Utilise Google Analytics to track website traffic, analyse campaign performance, and provide actionable insights.
  • Actively manage customer lists and segmentation using Hubspot and Mailchimp for targeted email campaigns.
  • Develop and implement social media strategies across X and LinkedIn, creating engaging content based on Google Blog posts and 28East content.
  • Monitor and report on social media campaign performance, analysing CTR and visibility to optimise strategies.
  • Maintain and update the company website, ensuring it is visually appealing, SEO-friendly, and effectively communicates 28East’s value proposition.

Content Creation & Thought Leadership:

  • Develop and manage a content calendar, creating blog posts, articles, and other thought leadership materials relevant to the South African market.
  • Manage the 28East YouTube channel, creating and uploading engaging video content for social media campaigns and educational purposes.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop compelling success stories and case studies, publishing them on the Partner Advantage platform.
  • Help write website content and update existing content.

Event Management & Communication:

  • Planned and executed webinars, in-person events, and conferences, including venue selection, catering, and logistics.
  • Manage all event communications, including invitations, reminders, social media promotion, and post-event follow-ups.
  • Identify and recommend relevant industry events for 28East to participate in as speakers or exhibitors.
  • Create and distribute quarterly newsletters to engage customers and prospects.
  • Develop and manage campaign materials, including visuals and graphics for email campaigns and other marketing initiatives.

Brand Management & Corporate Identity:

  • Maintain and enforce the company’s corporate identity, including logo usage, colour palettes, document templates, and email signatures.
  • Design and produce company swag and promotional materials.
  • Managed Google partner advantage, registered deals, pipelines, customer success stories, credentials, tech enablement, and DRI management.

External Vendor Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for external marketing agencies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Internal Collaboration & Management:

  • Regularly review and manage project management board.
  • Participate in weekly task meetings and provide updates on marketing activities.
  • Organise and manage internal events, recognition programs, and team-building activities.

Bonus Skills:

  • Frontend design skills and experience with UI/UX design.
  • Proficiency in design tools like Figma.

Skills & Experience:

  • Four or more years of experience in marketing, sales, or advertising.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in relevant marketing tools and platforms, including Google Analytics, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Hubspot, Mailchimp, Chatgpt, Gemini, and social media management tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong creative and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
