FIELDS 44 Stanley Store Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to manage our first Johannesburg store at 44 Stanley. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the store’s success by connecting with customers during their in-store experience as well as successfully managing the store team. Your attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and passion for contemporary menswear will contribute to the success of FIELDS.

Qualification & Requirements:

Completed or in the process of completing a university/college degree.
3+ years of working experience in retail management, hospitality or relevant field.
Knowledge of contemporary menswear, style, and fashion in general.
Proficient computer and math skills for online order management and administrative tasks.
Flexibility to work weekends, as per roster.
Duties

Customer Experience, Service & Sales:

– Lead by example; delivering exceptional customer experience by creating connections with customers.
– Create the space and energy for customers to feel comfortable, enabling them to linger, engaging with our team and products.
– Ensure the in-store sensory (sound, temperature, scent, visual) experience is to the FIELDS’ standards coupled with the right attitude of team members.
– Maintain the store’s readiness and cleanliness to welcome customers.
– Develop and implement strategies to drive engagement, encouraging customers to try-on products to meet our goals.
– Train and motivate the style team to effectively connect with customers, share our story, provide product knowledge and offer personalised recommendations.
– Showcase our brand through dynamic visual merchandising, including strategic movement of items ensuring freshness in store.

Team Leadership & Development:

– Recruit, hire, train, and manage in-store style team members.
– Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, recognising achievements, and addressing employee concerns or conflicts.
– Provide ongoing guidance and feedback to enhance team member performance as well as ensuring consistent alignment to company standards.
– In collaboration with the head office team, manage the team roster and attendance.

Store Operations & Inventory Management:

– Manage stock count and replenishment, and monitor inventory levels and sales to ensure optimal product availability and maximise sell-through.
– Maintain and improve operational procedures and policies to streamline processes and ensure smooth daily operations.
– Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), such as sales, AOV, time-in-store, repeat customer rate, in-store traffic, and conversion rates, to identify areas for improvement.

FIELDS Positioning & Marketing:

– Collaborate with the brand and marketing department to develop and execute promotional activities, advertising campaigns, and special events at the store.
– Implement strategies to enhance brand visibility, attract new customers, and cultivate customer loyalty.
– Stay updated with the neighbourhood, the local industry, competitors, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.

Work Schedule:

– Five shifts per week at FIELDS 44 Stanley.
– The store operates from Monday to Sunday.
– Each shift will be 6-8 hours long.

Compensation & Benefit:

– Full-time employment, guided by the BCEA SA with 17 leave days per annum.
– Annual incentive in line with company policy.
