Graphic Design & Content Creation Intern (6-Month Internship)

Kempton Park |  6-month contract | Full-Time | On-Site

Gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, evolving environment where you’ll focus on bringing our brand to life through compelling visuals and videos. You’ll support our Content Creator and broader Marketing Team by creating engaging graphic assets and video content that meet the digital and print demands of modern marketing.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Graphic Design & Content Creation Intern, you’ll play a vital role in producing high-quality visual content for our marketing initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Graphic Design & Video Production: Collaborate with the Content Creator to design social media graphics, infographics, presentation slides, and printed materials. Assist with video shoots, edit footage, add motion graphics, and optimise videos for different platforms.
  • Content Creation & Strategy Support: Update visual content across social platforms and contribute creative ideas to amplify our digital footprint and engagement.
  • General Website Assistance: Update products, images, events, and other website visuals as needed.
  • Digital Asset Organisation: Help organise and maintain our digital libraries to ensure easy access to graphic and video files.
  • Administrative Assistance: Support the marketing team with various administrative tasks, such as CRM administration, event logistics, and inventory management.
  • Internal Communication: Assist in sending out internal communications via emails (Mailchimp) and WhatsApp.
  • Event Coordination: Contribute to the planning and execution of marketing events, assisting with promotional materials, on-site visuals, and event recap videos.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Educational Background: Completed a diploma or degree in Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, Film & Video Production, or a related field.
  • Work Experience: No prior formal employment experience; this opportunity is designed for individuals entering the workforce.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong visual and content creation skills is highly advantageous.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Strong skills in design and editing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (especially Premiere Pro), Canva, and CapCut.
    • Basic understanding of website content management systems like WordPress.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Digital Savvy: Comfortable navigating various social media platforms.
  • Language Skills:
    • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
    • Proficiency in Afrikaans is highly beneficial, as our customer base primarily consists of Afrikaans growers, but it is not a prerequisite.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Quick learner with a proactive attitude and a willingness to acquire new skills in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
    • Creative mindset with an eye for design and aesthetics.
    • Energetic, motivated, and eager to contribute to meaningful projects.

You’ll be supporting our Content Creator, so expect to make a lot of videos!
