The School of Creative Technologies presents the Hackathon.

The annual event is for all students in the Creative Technologies faculty. Students from a variety of disciplines work together, using their knowledge and unique skill sets, in order to conceptualise, design, programme and fabricate a collective project.

This year’s theme is Cryptid Creations. In this world, the mysterious monster aren’t just legends, they’re wildly imaginative protectors of enchanted loot box treasures. These cryptids aren’t here to scare you; they’re artists, inventors, and defenders of magical oddities tucked away in secret caves, misty forests, and forgotten realms.

Loot boxes are exactly what you’d expect, you open the box and get loot! We will be bringing this concept to life, by designing and building real world loot boxes that dispense prizes.
