Description

This course focuses on mobile phone photography within a still life setting. Students will learn to create images that tell a visual story or evoke specific emotional responses using inanimate objects. Emphasis will be placed on using colour theory, such as complementary, analogous, monochromatic, or split-complementary schemes, to enhance the emotional or conceptual tone of their images.

The course will also explore the role of light and how it can be utilised to highlight and narrativise the composition.
Please ensure you bring:

  • A smartphone with a camera (Android or iPhone)
  • One or two objects to photograph from home
  • Sufficient storage space on the device (at least a few GBs) for multiple shots.
  • Instagram installed on your phone
