Honours Degree Requirements

Bachelor of Arts Honours in Visual Communication

  • Relevant undergraduate qualification
  • Need to attend a selection interview
  • Level 3 theory subject with an average of 65%
  • Submit an Honours Proposal

  • Now that you have enquired and had a chat with one of our Student Advisors, you are ready to Apply.
  • A minimum payment of R1 750 is required to start the application process.
  • Administration Fee: R750 excluded from total tuition fee (Non-refundable).
  • Application Fee: R1 000 included in the total tuition fee (Non-refundable).
  • Registration Fee: R12 000 included in the total tuition fee    (Refundable on cancellation before commencement of classes)

Please submit the following:

  • Latest Grade 12 results
  • ID Document


  • Once you have all the supporting documents ready and you are sure of the course of choice, you can now Register
  • The registration fee of R12 000 will need to be settled.
  • The balance of the tuition fees needs to either be settled in full prior to the commencement of classes or via 10x monthly instalments (payable from February to November).
  • You will only be Registered once Open Window has received all of the compulsory required documents as well as the minimum Registration Fee prior to the commencement of the Academic Year.

  • Students register per academic year.
  • A registration fee is payable on registration and is deducted from the overall class fees for the year.
  • OW has credit card facilities on campus.
  • The costs for the year are dependent on the study plan selected.
  • Curriculum changes might occur at any time that could affect part-time students. You will be expected to adhere to the latest requirements as communicated to you.
  • The course fee does not include any prescribed art or production material, software, equipment or stationery.
  • Please note that the fees below only apply to New Level 1 students
