‘EXQUISITE CORPSE 8.0’

You are invited to participate in Exquisite Corpse 8.0!

In an attempt to promote a culture of collaboration between students, staff, alumni and industry at Open Window, the Visual Communication department has established an annual collaborative initiative called ‘Exquisite Corpse’ that culminates in an on-campus exhibition, hosted by our very own NOW gallery.

This initiative was established in 2016 and is now in its 8th iteration. The ’Exquisite Corpse’ initiative is based on the ‘Exquisite Corpse’ game invented by Surrealist artists during the 1920s. It involves the participation of a group of artists (you!), where each artist contributes to a single work resulting in a collaborative piece that is exhibited.

Note that this year, in affiliation with the MAKERSPACE, we also introduce a Risograph collaboration and print option called Riso Roulette. Further details around what this entails and how to get involved are also specified in the brief.
